Description
Originally, this game was played with corn cob “Darts,” and twigs wrapped in corn husks to form the “Wheel” (ring). This game is similar to “Lawn Darts,” but with a few exceptions. The “Wheel” (ring) is placed approximately 6 feet away from the players. Each player turns their back to the “Wheel” and then takes turns casting their dart, over their shoulder, at the “Wheel.” Players set a certain number of points to reach, and keep score with a point earned for every time the dart lands inside the wheel. This game can be played the modern way by placing the “Wheel” approximately 10 feet from the players and then casting the “Darts” at the “Wheel.”
Another variation of the game is to attach the “Wheel” to a low branch of a tree, swing or spin it, and the players try to toss their dart through the “Wheel,” gaining a point for every dart made.
