Descended from the Mohawk and Onandaga Nations of the Iroquois, Dr. Wayne F. Peate has lived and worked with Native peoples and healers in east Africa and South America, as well as in the reservations and barrios of the Southwest. Dr. Peate received his medical education at Dartmouth and Harvard. He is a practicing physician an an associate professor of medicine and public health at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
