PHOTO CALENDAR CONTEST
From February 1, 2024, to 2 PM, May 31, 2024, the Cahokia Mounds Museum Society (CMMS) is hosting a Photo Calendar Contest. This is a new fundraising event for CMMS whose mission is to ensure the continuation of preservation and interpretation at Cahokia Mounds.
SPRING EQUINOX SUNRISE OBSERVANCE
Meet at the Woodhenge Reconstruction by 6:30 AM for a 30-min Discussion on the discovery, function, and significance of this pre-columbian structure. Out of respect for Native American cultures, no ceremonies will be conducted.
TRIVIA NIGHT & SILENT AUCTION
Grab a group of friends, put on your thinking caps, and support two local non-profits dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Metro-East archaeology.

PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
A partial solar eclipse will be visible from Cahokia Mounds beginning roughly at 12:43 PM CT., on April 8, 2024. From our viewpoint, the entire partial eclipse will last just over 2-hours. To view the complete corona of the eclipse you MUST be in the path of totality.
