Painting With a Twist Fundraiser

Winter Lecture Series

The first installment of the Winter Lecture Series takes place on January 28 at 2 pm, in the Interpretive Center Auditorium.  The presentation, "Bound to the Western Waters:  Searching for Lewis and Clark at Ft. Kaskaskia, Illinois"  will be given by Mark Wagner, the Director of the Center for Archaeological Investigations and an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  This is a free event.

Flintknapping workshop by Larry Kinsella on February 4 from 12-4 pm.  All materials are provided.  Participants may bring their own tools, if desired, must be 15 or older and should wear long pants.  Fee:  $30 or $25 for students with a valid ID as well as CMMS members.

Winter Lecture Series

Native American a cappella Performance “Ulali”

March 24 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

"Honoring Our People" with Ulali will hold one performance at the Collinsville High School Auditorium on March 24, at 6:30 pm.  Ulali is a First Nations women's a cappella group whose sound encompasses an array of Indigenous music including Southeast United States choral singing and pre-Columbian music.  Their performance addresses Native American struggles as well as accomplishments.  Ulali has traveled throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad performing at venues like Woodstock 94, the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, and the…
