 unds State Historic Site is hosting a day of fun &amp\; educational activi
 ties for the kids! Join us on October 7 as we reintroduce our annual Kid's
  Day outreach program. This event exposes kids of all ages to Native Ameri
 can Cultures\, archaeology\, cultural preservation\, and conservation pres
 ervation through hands-on activities including:\nChunkey Games\nCorn-Grind
 ing\nFiber Finger-Weaving\nISAS (Illinois State Archaeological Survey) Dro
 ne Demonstrations\nKid's Nature/Culture Hike\nMake Your Own T-Shirt\nNativ
 e American Music &amp\; Dance\nPinch-Pot Making\nKid's Day takes place on 
 the grounds at Cahokia Mounds\, in front of and behind the Interpretive Ce
 nter. The exhibits and gallery remain closed for the rest of 2023 and like
 ly into 2024 for major mechanical renovations. The Interpretive Center Lob
 by (Restrooms) and Gift Shop will be open to the public during this event.
