Archaeology Day
Experts demonstrate ancient crafts such as bow and arrow making, flintknapping, potter making, fingerweaving, bone/shell/gourd carving; archaeologists explain petroglyphs, animal bone identification, remote sensing, GPS and more; visitors can tour excavations, sift soil, and was 1,000 year-old artifacts; food and drink booths. 10am-4pm.

Cahokia Archaeological Society Meeting
The Cahokia Archaeological Society is a local chapter of the Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology, an organization for amateurs, professionals, students and educators interested in the archaeology of Illinois. CAS meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm, with a speaker or video on archaeological or Indian topics, and a business meeting. Prior to the meeting, some members arrive by 6:30 pm to help wash artifacts from one of the excavations at Cahokia Mounds.
